About Us

We just genuinely love the music. There’s so much depth and intricate detail in soul and Motown – the arrangements are interesting, the songs are incredible, and we wanted to keep that style alive while propelling it into the modern day with our own high-energy performances. The genre sounds so awesome live that we knew performing it would satisfy us as musicians, but mostly that it would feel great to a crowd.

We’re a high-energy soul and Motown showband with a mix of iconic tracks and modern classics to appeal to all ages – perfect for any kind of event where you want the dance floor to be jam-packed with an audience that will remember the party long after the last song!

The list is endless! The artists that spring to mind are: Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, Earth Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner... Honestly, too many to name!

We’re inspired by all of these artists – and countless others – whose iconic songs helped shape soul and Motown into the timeless, feel-good force it’s always been...and always will be!

We know there are a lot of great bands out there – but what sets OJ’s Soul Band apart is the energy, care, and passion we bring to every performance. We’re a team of world-class musicians who deliver 100% every single time.

Between us, we’ve clocked thousands of gigs over the years, so you can trust us to handle your event with experience, professionalism, and total reliability. We’ve seen it all and pride ourselves on being able to adapt, deliver, and help make your celebration a night to remember.

We’re always pushing to be better, and while we take the music seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re real friends off-stage as well as on it, and that connection shines through in the atmosphere we create together. There’s a lot of love in this band – and we bring that same love and energy to every dance floor we step onto.

At weddings, we love seeing two people share so much love together, and how that feeling resonates around the room. It’s rare to have all your wedding guests in the same room again after your wedding, which makes the atmosphere so much more special… We’re really lucky to be part of that magic.

For events and celebrations, we have the best role: we go in and get everyone dancing! This is true at birthdays and anniversaries – and especially after long work conferences. It’s fun to see how quickly we can turn the day-to-day into the party of the year.

Between the band members, we’ve had the privilege of performing with some incredible artists – including Alicia Keys, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, James Bay, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Jeff Beck, Take That, Natasha Bedingfield, Artful Dodger, Tito Jackson and The Jacksons… just to name a few!

Collectively, members of our band have also played at some seriously iconic events, from the Qatar World Cup to the King’s Coronation and Capital’s Summertime Ball. We bring that same level of professionalism, energy and showmanship to every event we do – big or small.
